The Raven Guard: Shadows of the Imperium The Raven Guard is the XIXth (19th) Legion of Space Marines, created by the Emperor of Mankind during the Great Crusade. They are defined by their mastery of guerrilla warfare, stealth, and surgical strikes. Unlike legions that favor open field assaults, the Raven Guard strikes from the darkness, dismantling enemy command structures before vanishing again. Gene-Sire (Primarch): Corvus Corax (The Liberator of Lycaeus). Homeworld: Deliverance (formerly Lycaeus), a bleak mining moon. Specialty: Infiltration, decapitation strikes, and asymmetric warfare. Colors: Black armor with white trim (symbolizing the raven). Origins & Philosophy The Legion's identity is forged in the shadows of their Primarch's homeworld, Lycaeus. Corvus Corax was found as an infant among the slaves of a brutal mining colony. He grew up not as a king, but as a liberator, learning the arts of survival, sabotage, and urban warfare from the downtrodden slaves. When the Emperor arrived, Corax and his fledgling Legion joined the Great Crusade. However, they never forgot their roots. Their philosophy is summarized by their famous saying: "From the darkness we strike: fast and lethal, and by the time our foes can react... darkness there and nothing more."
